

Mario Cesar Bato, 68, of Mountain View, CA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara after a long fought battle with cancer. Born in Metro Manila, Philippines to Juan and Luisa Bato. He lived most of his life in Manila and worked as an engineer for the National Power Corporation. There, he worked on building the infrastructure to bring electricity to the most rural areas in the northern provinces of the Philippines. In 2001, he moved to Mountain View with his family. Mario Cesar was a very kind and generous man who mentored and fostered many of his cousins, nieces & nephews. He was looked to for counsel and looked up to by members of his family and friends. Although quiet, he was quick to make friends, loved sharing his knowledge and having clever conversations. He loved the Beatles, James Taylor and occasionally sang Frank Sinatra on karaoke. He enjoyed watching baseball and shared his love of basketball with his daughters. Mario Cesar was extremely loving and proud of his wife, Bella, and three daughters, Ava, LJ & Beige; his grandson, Cole Matthew and sons-in-law, Scott & Sebastian. He is also survived by his mother, Luisa; brothers, Rene, Jun & Rocky; as well as his many loving sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other friends.
