The hardest part in life is not to love so much.  ripped out of  NoT being able to be around you anymore. Not being able to look apon your beautiful face . Your emerald like eyes that I saw my reflection in. Your smile that warmed not only my heart but my soul. I call your phone hoping and praying to hear pick up and hear your voice on the other end every morning. I text your phone all though the day watching for that little text bubble like to appear. But nothing but emptiness and silence now. 

I miss our date nights to El tapatio that will forever be our spot. I miss hearing your voice on the phone in the morning talking to your supervisor. Or you walking though the hallway to come wake me up. 

I miss driving up to your house and looking up and seeing you and Leo looking out the top floor smiling down at me. Hearing you thud down the stairs and watching the door knob turn only to be greeted with your eyes and your smile followed by a warm hug and kiss on the cheek. 

I miss when we would get in your car or mine and blast our music and our songs down the freeway as you held and kissed my hand. As key points in the song , sang I look over at you so you knew I was talking about you. 

You brought such a shining light into the world . I cried in your arms many times and you cried in mine. I wiped away your tears with my thumb and dried your eyes. Looked at you and said I will always be there no matter where I am, I would drop everything for you in a heartbeat . I would give you my strength , my love , my heart , my soul , my last dying breath just to make sure you where ok. 

You gave the confidence to to see my kids Agian on their birthday . I'm so glad you came with me. My daughter thought you where my wife. I told her not yet . But one day I'm hoping that she will say yes. You gave my the strength to go out and start dating Agian . Cause you knew I was shy when we first met.

U ovakvim trenutcima covjeku rijeci ponestane, za ovako ogroman gubitak i vasu neizmjernu bol svaka riječ je suvišna. Molimo dragog Boga da vam da snage i sabura u ovim najtezim trenutcima zivota. Nezaboravan je taj srećni iako ratni dan kad sam moju Miu po rođenju primila u naručje i čvrsto držala dok smo jurili u autu iz bolnice ka kući bjezeći od granata i snajpera po Sarajevu.
Moja Sarajka, dijete ljubavi, ratno dijete, satkano od vanjske i unutrašnje ljepote.  Jedna velika duša.

For Halloween last year, our team dressed up as Average Joe's from the movie Dodgeball. We also made a witches brew desert and she was in charge of the candy on top of the desert. Of course, she went all out and spent sooo much money on the candy so we could win but she just wanted a reason to buy candy at her favorite candy store haha

Mia began her state services career in July of 2020 with CDCR Budget Management Branch in Field Operations after earning her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.  We were in the same unit together.  She was eager to learn and committed to building a career in public service.  After two years in Field Operations, she joined our team in DRP Technical Operations, where she worked the past 3.5 years overseeing Program 45, Adult Education.

As her manager, I worked closely with Mia and spoke with her often about assignments, questions, and day to day work, as well as life experiences.  She put consistent effort into learning her program and responsibilities, took feedback seriously, and showed a willingness to grow in her career.  She loved to travel, her family, her dog Leo, and all the finer things in life.  Mia valued her relationships at work.  She was kind, thoughtful, generous, and sincere.  She made genuine connections with those around her.  The relationships she built here mattered to her.

Mia will be remembered for her kindness and the relationships she built along the way.  She will be missed by our office.  Rest in peace Mia ❤ I'll miss you.

Ugh. I loved Folsom lake at the 4th with you. This day was just so epic. So peaceful. So beautiful just like you. Bubsy was so calm he fell asleep finally. You just loved the water.

“Water! I need water!” You loved your food spicy like me. So spicy our lips would sweat. So you know it’s real. My mom taught you how to make beans this trip. We had a build your own pizza night. It was my birthday. You always made me feel special. You made everyone feel special. My best gal. “Only the best for my best”

Sa neizmjernom tugom i nevjericom primili smo vijest o preranom odlasku vaše drage Mije. Riječi ne mogu opisati bol koju osjećamo zbog vašeg gubitka.
U mislima smo i molitvama uz vas, moleći se da Mia pronađe svoj mir i nastani se u najljepšim rajskim vrtovima, tamo gdje više nema boli, a da vama Bog podari snagu da izdržite ove preteške dane.

I am deeply saddened to hear about Mia’s passing. I met Mia and her family many years ago during my stay in SJ, and I still remember her as such a kind, warm, and lovely soul. This is a truly tragic loss. Please accept my heartfelt condolences — my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time. May she rest in peace.

Sve slike su pohranjene u srcu i glavi,malena djevojčica duge kose kao svila,plavih očiju usla je u moj zivot kada sam se udala za rodjaka i postali porodica.Zajednički odlazak na more i ostatak zivota je Mia obiljezila smijehom,ljubavlju i toplinom postala je dio mog srca zauvijek.
Njena podrska svima se rijecima ne moze opisati,to se mora osjetiti.Radovala se nasoj sreci,tugovala s nama,tužni smo ti Mia od sada do zauvijek..

Mia and I first met on April 24th ,2025 finally in person . We talked off and on for 2 years before that . Night I met this angel we clicked and vibes instantly. Who knew that two strangers that barely knew one another would be come the best of friends . We had wonderful times together . We took small staycations together on Lake Tahoe. We shared many taco date nights and couch scary movie nights together . Mia and I would dance the nights away Everytime I spent time with her. She never had to be scared to ask me for anything. Mia and I would bestie soulmates she was loving , caring , compassionate, loyal and faithful bestie . We grew so close together she text me " your wife is calling " when I was at work and I would reply " your husband is busy on the bar" . Mia was the closest thing I will ever have as a wife . I miss her soooo much . But I know she's looking over me and protecting me now. And we will dance the nights away Agian this time forever . We will meet Agian . My sweet labubu queen , my bestie , my soulmate , my should have been wife.

I’m a local neighbor, whom lives down the street. I had read the reports of this accident on NextDoor, and  the Citrus Heights Sentinel. Such sadness and devastation 😔💔  I’m deeply sorry for your families loss. GOD BLESS YOU ALL, and may God cover your precious daughter’s soul, in everlasting peace. 🙏
