Phyllis Maria Adame

Phyllis Maria Adame, 83, passed on peacefully in her sleep at home and entered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus on Friday, February 5, 2016 in Hollister, CA. Maria is greeted in heaven by her beloved husband, Armando Adame of 49 years who preceded her in 2003. Maria was the sixth child of seven children to the late Refugio and Carmen Galvez. Maria was born on June 16, 1932 in Mexico. She was raised in Oakland, CA where she completed her schooling and enjoyed going to the Mexican dances with her sisters. It was at one of the dances where she met her husband Armando in 1954. Armando and Maria married a few months later and began their family in San Francisco, CA before moving to San Jose, CA in 1967. Maria was full of excitement, spontaneity and surprises. She was a sensitive and loving woman. She will live in our memories and hearts forever! She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving children, Fernando Adame, Lucy (John) Le Grande and Marcel (Mimi) Adame; Grandchildren Andre (Cathy) Le Grande, Carmen Le Grande, Marissa, Serena and Trent Adame; Great-Grandchildren Jonah, Eli, Caleb and Seth Le Grande; Her Brother Pascual (Barbara) Galvez and Sister Sofia Diaz and Sister Celia Villagomez; numerous Cousins, Nephews, Nieces and extended family.

The Family wants to express their sincere gratitude for the grace and prayers from everyone who knew Maria and her Family.

A service for Maria will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose on Friday, February 12, 2016 starting at 1:00 p.m.
