Priscila Santos Ferrer

Priscila S. Ferrer, also known as “Nanay”, “Lola”, “Ate Ising” passed away peacefully at San Jose, California at the age of 91 years. Born and raised in the Philippines, she lived in small town of Palatiw, then in the 90’s she immigrated to the United States and settled in San Jose, CA.

Nanay Ising was wonderfully devoted to her 8 children and in-laws Thelma (Choy), Helen (Noli), Cristy (Ric), Daisy (Cesar), Bobbit (Nerissa), Brenda, Junior, and Cecil (Allan). She was a loving Grandmother to Denniese, Anna, Pj, Grace, Chatty, Meanne, Czarina, Fatima, Daisy Mae, Iaenna, Elaine, Ginia, Bien, Julia, Patrick, Alyanna, Aleila and Allaine, an Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Nanay Ising was able to persevere in life because of hard work, dedication and wise investments. She led by example. There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle. She was able to juggle being a wife, a mother of 8, a business owner and a landlord. She was admired by many because of her business savvy ways.

Nanay was funny with a unique sense of humor. She was generous and was always ready to help her loved ones in need. She was strict and firm. She played an active role in helping raise her grandchildren. Nanay was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman. We will miss her every day.

Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Manor Care and Vista Manor who provided invaluable care to Nanay Ising for many years. She was well loved and cared for.
