Raul Muñoz Jr.

Raul Munoz Jr., aged 66, passed away quietly and peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025 in San Jose, CA. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to loving parents Maria E. (Garza) Muñoz and Raul Muñoz, Sr.

Raul walked through his life with his heart full of love for his family, his friends and people in need. He often would leave early to an appointment to allow time to bring breakfast to the homeless that he knew would be near, making sure their bellies were full. He was a selfless giver of money or feeding those that had a bigger need than his own. He always worried about those around him before himself.

Raul will be deeply missed by his father, Raul Muñoz, Sr., of San Jose, California, his devoted and loving children, daughter A'Lissa Muñoz, sons Raul Muñoz III, Brandon Muñoz, all of Chandler, Arizona, and son Austin Muñoz of Spring Valley, California. Raul was a doting grandfather to Eliana, Evelyn, Layla, Brandon Jr., Eden, Trinity, Hanna, and Malachi Muñoz. He will be forever remembered by his loving and endearing sisters; Mari G. Muñoz, Gisela M. (Jose) Nava, Belinda Muñoz and Glenda M. (Noe) Yañez. Raul was a very proud uncle to niece Brianna Nava and nephew Steven Nava.

He was preceded in death by his dear mother Maria E.(Garza) Muñoz (2008) and his sweet nephew Christian Nava. (2021).

Family and friends are invited to attend a vigil service Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 7:00 PM. Visitation with the family will be available from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Peace Church, 2800 Mission College Blvd, Santa Clara, with interment to follow at 11:00 AM at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln Street, Santa Clara.
