

Richard Allan Ceraolo was born on February 08, 1960 in Castro Valley CA to David Michael Ceraolo and Sandra Jo Ceraolo Hoyt. Richard attended local schools in the Milpitas area and graduated from Samuel Ayer High School in 1979.
Shortly after high school graduation, Richard married Elizabeth; they had one child, Richard A. Ceraolo II.
In December 1989, Richard and Angie married and had two sons; David A. and Austin A. Ceraolo.
Richard participated in Drug Free Weight Lifting where he over achieved in weight lifting. He enjoyed bowling, dancing and loved roller skating. Although he liked to sing, he was by far the worst singer his family ever heard. Richard was extremely lucky while fishing and somehow always managed to catch the largest fish (Tuna, Salmon) during fishing excursions in the Monterey Bay. He enjoyed traveling to Thailand, Hong Kong and South America. He went on frequent mission trips to Tijuanna with St. Julie Billiart Catholic church.
His favorite condiment, without a doubt: Ketchup.
He was an avid Oakland Raider's season ticketholder, as well as a San Francisco Giant's fan and joined the cheering crowds when they won the World Series in 2010.
In 1991, Richard obtained his Subcontractors License and started Sealtech Caulking & Waterproofing Inc., he and Angie operated the successful business for over 20 years. Richard was also owner of Preferred Waterproofing for a few years. During these years he accumulated substantial Real Estate holdings where he was a very successful entrepreneur. Richard was creative, assertive and daring. He survived many near-death accidents that it was often joked that he had nine lives; like a cat. He opened one of the first Cannabis shops in San Jose, South Bay Natural Remedies; and managed the shop from January 2010 until 2013.
Richard was very knowledgeable and very active in procuring Real Estate and in the development of vacant lots. Few things gave him as much joy as taking an empty property, planning, drawing and developing it into something incredible.
Richard leaves us too early but he will be unforgettable to his family, friends and acquaintances; truly he was one of a kind. He leaves his father, David Michael Ceraolo (Frances E. ); and his mother, Sandra Jo Ceraolo Hoyt. Three sons; Richard A. Ceraolo II, David A. Ceraolo (Negin), and Austin A. Ceraolo. Brother, Robert E. Ceraolo and David Michael Ceraolo Jr. (Cindy) and one sister, Kimberly C. Darnel (Robert Danel).
Uncles John Ceraolo (Jean) and Anthony Ceraolo. Aunt Diane Ivaldi, who passed on Sunday, August 15, 2021, one day following Richard's passing. Nieces Amber Harbaugh and Melissa Madson and one great nephew, Jackson Jaime including numerous cousins. Although Richard did not have blood-related grandchildren, he aspired to be grandpa to Angie's grandchildren; Jessica and Jacob Andrade, Isabella and Nathan Rhode, Joseph and Andrew Monteon and Ray, Liana and Luca Almanza and often expressed his love for each of these children.
Outdoor Memorial Services to be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Vista Estates on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 9 am. Please meet at the front entrance of the main building, 300 Curter Ave., San Jose between 8:30-8:45 am to be guided to burial site.
