Rupert Santos Bareng, Jr., 34, of Tracy, CA, suddenly passed away on December 26th, 2020.
Rupert (RJ) Santos Bareng, Jr. was born in San Jose, CA and was the “the baby of the family”. He graduated from Merrill F. West High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Science with a major in Statistical Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. RJ initially volunteered at the Community Partnership for Families of San Joaquin and worked his way up to become the Accounting Manager. His contributions to this agency is shared at https://cpfsj.networkforgood.com/projects/120587-in-honor-of-rupert-bareng.
RJ brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. You could tell if he liked you by whether or not he made fun of you. He was dependable and considerate. If he said he would do something, it would get done. He took the time to get to know people and shared what he had. He loved the outdoors, even in his iconic toe shoes. He enjoyed golfing, hiking, and long boarding. He was a problem solver. He loved puzzles and building things to his expectations. And most of all he LOVED working on and driving his smoked paprika Corolla hatchback.
He is survived by his parents, Ruperto and Elisa, his siblings, Rosalie and Michael, and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Aquilino and Catalina Bareng, and his maternal grandparents, Mateo and Maria Santos.
Memorial services will be held at St. Maria Goretti, 2980 Senter Rd, San Jose, CA 95111 at 09:00AM-10:30AM. His burial will be at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125 at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Community Partnership for Families of San Joaquin, https://cpfsj.networkforgood.com/projects/120587-in-honor-of-rupert-bareng.
The family of Rupert Santos Bareng, Jr. wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this difficult time.
