Ruth Marie Lopez

Ruth Marie Lopez, 90, of San Jose CA, passed away in Mesa, Arizona on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Ruth was born July 4, 1927 in La Puente, California, to Estanislao Gonzales and Rita Urias. She was the eldest in a family of four sisters.

Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Vincent Lopez, who passed away last January, 2017. She is survived by her three children, Francene Figg (NC), Deborah Bacosa Vierra (AZ) and Michael Gerard Bacosa (NC). She will forever be a pillar of strength and loving Nana to her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ruth and Vince traveled the world sharing the "Healing Power of God", volunteering with the Blind Veterans Association and spending precious time with family and friends. Together, they were family and marriage counselors at Christ the King Catholic Church. They lived their lives as a "true Blessing from the Lord".

Viewing will be held Monday, at 2 p.m., November 6, 2017, at Lima Family Erickson Mortuary, 710 Willow St., San Jose (408) 295-5160. Rosary will begin at 5 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5284 Monterey Highway, San Jose (408) 362-9958. Mass will begin at 11 a.m. A graveside burial service to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln Street, Santa Clara. Flowers may be sent to Lima Family Erickson Mortuary on Monday, November 6th before 2pm.
