Sayo Togami passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25. She is predeceased by her husband Gunji Togami, foster daughter Linda Valadez, and foster son Ray Toshitsune. She is survived by foster daughter Diane Toya, sister Muts Sakamoto (Gordon), brother Kurato Shimada (Jean), many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by Shimada brothers Frank, Mori, Fuzzy, Hank, Hach, Ozzie, Shig and sister Kumi Oman. The memorial service will be at the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin, 640 N. Fifth St., San Jose on Fri, March 16th at 7pm. Donations in Sayo's memory can be made to Yu-Ai Kai Japanese American Senior Service, 588 N. 4th St., San Jose, Ca. 95112
