

Tom was born July 18, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois to Frank Joseph Jacobs and Vivian Elizabeth Murphy Jacobs He passed away at his home in Shingle Springs, CA on March 09, 2015.His upbringing included living in Chicago, IL, Chester, MN, Brainerd, MN, and Burbank, CA. In 1948, when he was 17, he joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War. While he was still in the Navy, he met Angelina (Angie) Di Leonardo at a dance at Moffett Field Air Base in May 1952.They married on November 23, 1952, in Sunnyvale, CA. They spent some time in Southern California while he was still in the Navy and when he was honorably discharged, they made their home back in
Sunnyvale. He went to school to become a carpenter and then earned his General Contractors license.
He eventually had his own business, T.F. Jacobs Construction Co., building homes in Santa Clara, Mendocino, and Lake Counties.He loved collecting videos and boasted about his extensive DVD collection. The collection included his
favorites, War Documentaries and Laurel and Hardy films.He enjoyed woodworking, chess, fishing, and hunting.
Tom leaves behind his wife of 62 years, six children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He
also leaves two brothers and a sister, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.Preceding him in death were his mother, Vivian Howard and stepfather, Carl Howard. His father, Frank Jacobs and stepmother, Nellie Anthony Jacobs. A sister, Virginia (Dolly) Jacobs Fisher, and two brothers, James Jacobs and Michael Jacobs.
Tom and Angie lived in Lakeport, CA for 20 years before moving to Shingle Springs, CA in May 2014.
