Our beloved father, Thomas Shih, passed away on January 5, 2026 at the age of 83, surrounded by his family in Sunnyvale, CA. He was born in Saigon, Vietnam on March 22, 1942, before moving to Sunnyvale, where he lived for 38 years. He and our mother, Emily, raised a loving family of five children (Ming, Sean, Stephanie, Angie, and Henry) and shared the joy of four grandchildren (Aaron, Emma, Jayden, and Katie).

Dad was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, and friend who was known for his kindness, generosity, and a willingness to always lend a helping hand. He was a hardworking, skilled, resourceful, and self-taught handyman who built a successful career repairing homes and appliances. His hobbies include traveling, exploring new places, and sharing laughter with those around him. Above all, he deeply loved his family, and his dedication and warmth will be fondly remembered.

A visitation will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Memorail Park, located at 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125 on February 9, 2026 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on February 10, 2026 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM.
