

Visitation will be held September 9th, 2020 from 12:30 PM through 4:30 PM at the Jasmine Chapel, Oak Hill Memorial Park. A funeral will be held on September 10th, 2020; the memorial service and interment will be private.
Tong was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the son of Hsien-Chang Hu and Chin-Yeh Sun Hu. He was an undergraduate of both Kaohsiung Medical University and Taipei Institute of Technology, and continued on to receive a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. Tong worked as a software engineer in Silicon Valley for thirty-three years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking, camping, playing soccer, golfing, and traveling. He was also actively involved with the Taiwanese Association of America.
Tong is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Chern Mei Hu; a son, Steve; a son, Joseph, daughter-in-law Kari-Lynn Hu, and grandson Ronan Hu; five brothers and one sister, many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
Tong is preceded in death by his parents and a younger brother.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Oak Hill Memorial Park.
