He was born to Julian and Consolacion Clemente on May 17, 1955, at Camiling, Tarlac in the Philippines. After spending 30+ years in the Philippines, Banchong came to the U.S., where the family relocated to Soledad, California. The family relocated to the Bay Area in 1991, where he spent the remaining years of his life calling San Jose his home.
Banchong was easygoing. Despite the good or bad situation, he always found a way to laugh and smile. He had quite a sense of humor. And every time he would vent about his struggles and stories in the Philippines, everyone would listen and eventually laugh with him.
He enjoyed walking outdoors in any weather. Especially making those trips to the local liquor store, Stop N Save. Banchong would test his luck with scratchers and enjoy a smoke of his favorite Marlboros on the way home. He loved the thrill of winning. And when he did win, he would share his winnings with his family. He loved to be able to take care of his family when he could. We all felt that.
Venancio is survived by his sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, and many grandchildren. A funeral service for Venancio will be at 9 am on July 25, 2022, at Willow Glen Funeral Home -1039 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA 95125.
