William J. "Bill" Glover, born in Bradford, Pennsylvania on July 19, 1933, entered into rest San Jose, California on November 7, 2015. Son of the late Frank W. and Katherine Glover. Married to the late Nancy S. Glover on April 27, 1956. He is survive by his children Patrick Glover (Melanie), Mary Webb, Michael Glover, Debbie King (Greg), James Glover (Lisa). Cherished grandpa of Robert Glover, Justine Hoffman, Megan Fetzer, Jenel Glover, Tiffany Webb, Jennifer Webb, Michael Glover Jr., Holly King and Joel King. Dear brother of Ann Moore. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy S. Glover, his daughter Kathy Glover (Peter), his sin William D. Glover, his son-in-law David Webb, and his cherished brothers Harold, Francis, and Charlie Glover.
William started his career at Dresser Industries working in the machine shop, moving on to a 25+ year long career at IBM as a machinist and tool & die maker. He was one of the founding member and helped build St. Julie's Catholic Church in San Jose, CA. Bill was also one of the charter members of Knights of Columbus Council # 6965. In the Knights he worked his way up to Master of the Fourth Degree. Upon his retirement from IBM, he dedicated his entire life to the Knights. He and Nancy travelled around the country for years attending, organizing and running various Knights functions and events. He was referred to by many as "Mr. Knights of Columbus". In recent years he helped run the food pantry at St. Julie's, as well as the annual holiday food bag distributions during the holiday. His volunteer time and dedication to the church and Knights was unparalleled and will be missed.
Vigil Service 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 20, 2015 at Lima Family Erickson memorial Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose, CA 95125. Funeral Mass 12:00 P.M. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at St Julie's Billiart Catholic Church, 366 St. Julie Drive, San Jose, CA 95119, immediately followed by reception at Sullivan Center @ St. Julie Billiart Church. Donations can be made to the St. Julie's Building Fund or Sacred Heart Community Services in his memory.
