Elba Rosa Rolón Rivera

Con profunda fe y un corazón lleno de gratitud, la familia Córdova Rolón y sus allegados anuncian el tránsito a la vida eterna de nuestra amada madre Elba Rosa Rolón Rivera, quien partió a la Casa del Padre el 25 de noviembre de 2025, a la edad de 92 años.

Nació en San Juan, Puerto Rico, el 28 de septiembre de 1933. Estudió en el Colegio San Agustín y en la Central High School. Se desarrolló como profesional en ciencias secretariales y contabilidad.

🙏 Una Vida Iluminada por la Fe

Doña Elba fue el faro de luz y la columna de su numerosa familia. Su vida fue un testimonio vivo de su inquebrantable fe católica. Sirvió como secretaria de la iglesia Nuestra Señora de la Providencia en Vega Baja. Durante más de 30 años fue sacristana de la Catedral de San Juan y tenedora de libros en la Parroquia San Francisco. Encontró su fortaleza y alegría en la devoción a Dios y a la Santísima Virgen María. Su casa y su corazón estuvieron siempre abiertos, y su vida fue un constante acto de servicio y generosidad, reflejando el amor de Cristo a todo el que conoció. Era una verdadera discípula, irradiando una alegría contagiosa que elevaba el espíritu de quienes tenían la bendición de cruzarse en su camino.

💖 Un Legado de Amor y Alegría

Hija mayor de José Rolón Negrón y Saturnina Rivera Vázquez, y hermana de Pepe, Junior, Coqui, Lydia (QEPD), Paquito (QEPD) y Carmen. Doña Elba deja un vacío irremplazable, pero también un tesoro de recuerdos felices y enseñanzas de amor. Sus primas, primos, cuñadas y cuñados la van a extrañar.

Fue la compañera ejemplar de su difunto esposo, Christian Córdova Ferrer. Su espíritu maternal se extendió mucho más allá de sus lazos de sangre. Fue una madre incondicional, tanto de sus hijos: Pilar, Teresa, Marta, Jerry, Rita, Elbita, Noel (quien la precede en el cielo), Nitza, Javier y Yuri, como de muchos otros que cariñosamente la consideraron su madre adoptiva: Alina, Sylvette y Velmarie. Con gran orgullo también fue madrina de muchos otros y en los veranos aceptó en su hogar todas las sobrinas y sobrinos contemporáneos con sus hijos, quienes echarán de menos sus límbers y batidas de mantequilla de maní.

Recibió con cariño y respeto a sus hijos e hijas políticos: Nilsa, Ramón, Ruth, David (QEPD), Joanne, Sandra, Marisela.

Su mayor deleite lo encontró en ser abuela de Nilmarie, Noelia, Natalia, Meshach, Ariel, Michael (QEPD), Alex, David Omar, Kiki, Javier, Aleshka, Alanis, Edgar, Michael, Derek y Yara, bisabuela de José, Christopher AJ, Noa y Hugo, tatarabuela de Josean.

Elba Rosa nos enseñó que la vida debe vivirse con una sonrisa, con la certeza de la promesa de la Resurrección. Su risa, su bondad, sus canciones y su alegría desbordante serán recordadas por siempre como el regalo más hermoso que nos dejó.

Recordaremos con cariño su bendición: “Que Cristo resucitado nazca en tu corazón. Que la Virgen arrope con su manto a ti y a todos tus seres queridos. Que el Espíritu Santo te ilumine para que hagas buenas y sabias decisiones. Que eso es muy importante.”

¡Hoy hay una gran fiesta en el cielo!

🕊️ In Memoriam: Elba Rosa Rolón Rivera (1933-2025)

With profound faith and a heart full of gratitude, the Córdova Rolón family and her loved ones announce the transition to eternal life of our beloved mother, Elba Rosa Rolón Rivera, who departed for the House of the Father on November 25, 2025, at the age of 92.

She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on September 28, 1933. She studied at Colegio San Agustín and Central High School. She developed professionally in secretarial sciences and accounting.

🙏 A Life Illuminated by Faith

Doña Elba was the beacon of light and the pillar of her large family. Her life was a living testament to her unwavering Catholic faith. She served as a secretary for the church Nuestra Señora de la Providencia in Vega Baja. For more than 30 years, she was the sacristan of the San Juan Cathedral and a bookkeeper at the San Francisco Parish.

She found her strength and joy in devotion to God and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her home and heart were always open, and her life was a constant act of service and generosity, reflecting the love of Christ to everyone she knew. She was a true disciple, radiating a contagious joy that uplifted the spirit of those blessed to cross her path.

💖 A Legacy of Love and Joy

The eldest daughter of José Rolón Negrón and Saturnina Rivera Vázquez, and sister to Pepe, Junior, Coqui, Lydia (R.I.P), Paquito (R.I.P.), and Carmen. Doña Elba leaves an irreplaceable void, but also a treasure of happy memories and lessons of love. She will be greatly missed by her cousins, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

She was the exemplary companion of her late husband, Christian Córdova Ferrer. Her maternal spirit extended far beyond blood ties. She was an unconditional mother not only to her children—Pilar, Teresa, Marta, Jerry, Rita, Elbita, Noel (who precedes her in heaven), Nitza, Javier, and Yuri—but also to many others who affectionately considered her their adopted mother: Alina, Sylvette, and Velmarie. With great pride, she was also a godmother to many and, during the summers, welcomed all her children's contemporary nieces and nephews into her home, who will miss her límbers (frozen treats) and peanut butter milkshakes.

She lovingly and respectfully welcomed her children's spouses: Nilsa, Ramón, Ruth, David (R.I.P.), Joanne, Sandra, Marisela.

She found her greatest delight in being the grandmother of Nilmarie, Noelia, Natalia, Meshach, Ariel, Michael (R.I.P.), Alex, David Omar, Kiki, Javier, Aleshka, Alanis, Edgar, Michael, Derek, and Yara, the great-grandmother of José, Christopher AJ, Noa, and Hugo, and the great-great-grandmother of Josean.

Elba Rosa taught us that life should be lived with a smile, with the certainty of the promise of the Resurrection. Her laugh, her kindness, her songs, and her overflowing joy will be forever remembered as the most beautiful gift she left us.

We will fondly remember her blessing: “May the Risen Christ be born in your heart. May the Virgin wrap you and all your loved ones in her mantle. May the Holy Spirit enlighten you so you make good and wise decisions. Because that is very important.”

Today, there is a great celebration in heaven!
