Frank Fielder passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 30, 2013. Frank was born in Miranda, CA to Jack Fielder and Mary Elizabeth O'Connor. The family later moved to San Quentin where Frank grew up. Frank was a proud World War II Veteran having served for six years as a Naval Bosuns-mate. Frank was stationed in the South Pacific. After the war ended, Frank returned to San Rafael where he re-kindled his relationship with Suedean Davis. Frank and Sue were married in 1946 and were married until Sue's passing ten years ago. Frank was a plasterer at Weber Plastering for approximately 40 years. He loved his job. When Frank wasn't working, he could be found fishing in the bay, on the lakes and rivers all over California. He was an avid hunter as well and a member of the Marin Rod and Gun Club for over 50 years plus. Frank is survived by his sister, Ruth Valsecchi of San Rafael, brother Jack Fielder (wife Marion) of San Rafael, niece, Val Valsecchi Leonard of Santa Barbara, nephew Dean Bell (wife Glenda) of Angels Camp, great-nieces and nephews, Matt Leonard (wife Julie) of Santa Barbara, Michele Taubert of Rohnert Park, Tony Taubert (wife Stephanie) of San Rafael, great-great-niece Neva Leonard and great-great-nephew Carlo (Charlie) Leonard of Santa Barbara, Jonathan and Jenna Brazde of Rohnert Park and Sydney Marie Taubert of San Rafael. Visitation will be held at Keaton's Mortuary, 1022 E St. San Rafael on Monday, July 8 from 5-8 PM. Funeral service on Tuesday, July 9, 11:00 AM at the chapel at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, 2500 Fifth Ave. San Rafael.
