John Ternullo was born in San Francisco on October 11, 1937 to Anna and Rosario Ternullo. He went to San Francisco schools from grammar school through college. Like his father and grandfather, he met the love of his life in San Francisco. John and Glenda were married for 56 years and lived in Marin County for over 50 years. John and Glenda had two children, David and Sacia. John and Glenda were passionate about traveling and enjoyed trips to several countries in Europe, Tahiti, Australia, New Zealand, Central and South America, the Caribbean, plus 43 states in the USA. Their frequent and favorite destination was Hawaii. John’s career was primarily in commercial real estate and construction management for various franchises, in which he supervised several western states, including Alaska and Hawaii. John’s love for sports and competition began when he was a youth when he played football, basketball, and track and field. During the past 20 years, John played, taught and was captain of his Bocce ball team. In addition, John was an avid fisherman and taught friends and family the joy of fishing. His first big fish was a sail fish that he caught on his honeymoon in Mexico in 1960. A second big fish was a Marlin, in which he donated to the Marin Rod and Gun Club. John and Glenda shared a love for gardening and raised prized orchids in which they shared with friends and family. John is survived by his brother, Frank Ternullo; daughter, Sacia Novak and son-in-law, Sergio Novak; grandson, Brian Novak, as well as a niece and 3 nephews. He is pre-deceased by his son, David; wife, Glenda; parents and sisters. John and Glenda will now be together for eternity! A memorial service will be held at the San Rafael Mission on February 23 at 11:00 with a reception at San Rafael Joe’s following the service.
