Richard Harrison Castro

February 19, 1933- May 2, 2014

Richard Harrison Castro passed away on Friday May 2, 2014 in Walnut Creek, CA. He was born February 19, 1933 to John and Rosalie Castro in Honolulu, Hawaii.

At the age of 17 Richard enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He then married his wife of 53 years, Sandra, on October 1, 1960. Richard had a lifelong career with Chevron, retiring as lead analyst of network operations. He really loved his dogs, fishing, and watching the BBC. Cars were another interest of Richards, especially his ’33 Chevy 5 window coupe, and he was a proud member of the NSRA and the Goodguys Automobile Club.

Richard is survived by his wife Sandra, children Bob and Jennifer, grandsons Jordan, Kyle, and Jack, and granddaughter Casey. Richard is preceded in death by his mother Rosalie, brother Bob, and children Amy and Rene.

A visitation will be held at Keaton’s Mortuary located at 1022 E St. San Rafael, CA 94901 on Friday May 9, 2014 from 10am-12pm. A chapel service will follow at 12 noon. Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
