Robert Milton NelsonMay 26, 1921 – Oct. 8, 2009A third-generation San Franciscan and a fifty-year resident of San Rafael, Bob passed away at Kaiser Hospital in the company of his daughters, Patricia and Barbara. Born in San Francisco, Bob was also a third-generation San Francisco fireman. He found a second career as a court reporter, working for many years in the San Francisco courts. He made many dear friends in the court reporting profession. Bob also served as an officer in the Army during World War II. He met his loving wife Dorothy at the Presidio and married her in 1946. Bob was preceded in death by Dorothy, as well as his parents Arthur A. and Florence E. Nelson, and his brother Arthur A. Nelson, Jr. In addition to his daughters, he is survived by his niece and nephew, Carolyn Harris and Art Nelson and their families, and his sister-in-law, Ginny Nelson.
