Barbara Mary Sampson

Born November 6, 1948, daughter of Mildred and Joseph Grosse, Barbara loved a good laugh and strays of all kinds. Her quick wit was balanced by her open heart and curious mind. She cared deeply and those who knew her were all the better for it.

A protective mother and a fiercely loyal friend, Barbara is survived by her companion, Walter Silva of Mashpee, her father, and her children: daughter Lori and her husband Bruce Allen of Wareham, son David J. Sampson and his wife Penny of Forestdale, and son Steven P. Sampson and his partner Trinity of Plymouth. She will be dearly missed by all, especially her grandson, Broderick and her spirited terrier, Bodie.

Calling hours Tuesday from 4PM - 7PM at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meeting House Rd., East Sandwich at 11AM. Interment in Sandwich Town Cemetery.
