Barbara T. Walsh

Barbara was born to Michael and Alice (Sharbel) Deeb in Providence, RI on April 4, 1928. A beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, Barbara was a woman of deep and abiding faith and

counted the priests and parish of Corpus Christi Catholic Church as her extended family.

Barbara was married to Master Sergeant James P. Walsh for sixty-eight years, and made her

family’s homes on bases in Europe, the Southwest and Cape Cod. She and her family traveled

extensively while in Europe and she always remembered those adventures fondly. Barbara was

very active in the parish life of Corpus Christi Church volunteering for many years. She was

steadfast, kind and always had a smile ready. Hers was a life well lived and loved.

Barbara was predeceased by her daughter Mary Ellen Spinello, brothers Gaston and Daniel and sister Lucille.

Barbara leaves her husband and best friend James P. Walsh of Sandwich, brother Michael Deeb of West Warwick, RI, son Robert (Linda) of Dedham, daughter Karen (Robert) of Sandwich and son-in-law Joseph Spinello of Sandwich. She also leaves her six cherished grandchildren; Brandon Patchel, Rachel Szymaniak, Kathleen and Emily Spinello, and Benjamin and Maxwell Walsh.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 16 with a wake from 10 to 11 am followed by a Mass at 11 am at Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road, East Sandwich, MA, followed by a burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at 1 pm.
