Carol Ann Noonan

She was the loving wife of Richard Noonan of 49 years. Born February 18, 1947, in Boston, MA to the late Edward and Ann Rock. Carol graduated from Roslindale High School in 1964 and received a business degree from Burdett College. She and her husband resided in Belmont, MA before relocating to Sandwich in 1984.

Carol was a devout catholic and worked for over 25 years at Corpus Christi Parish. She also assisted Sister Doreen Donegan with the religious education program. Since retiring, Carol enjoyed having her morning coffee at Town Neck beach, car rides throughout New England especially in the fall to see the foliage, collecting coins, reading, and watching Boston sports teams play. However, most of all she liked spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Christine (Noonan) MacQuade and her husband John of Sandwich, MA, Joseph Noonan and his wife Kathy of Sandwich, MA and Kathleen Noonan and her fiancé Shishira Bharadwaj of Quincy, MA; her cherished grandchildren, Colin, Rylie, Brennan, Maeve, and Ella. She was predeceased by her daughter, Maureen Susan Noonan.

Carol also leaves her siblings, Marilyn Farren and her husband Daniel of Forestdale, MA, Mary Mahnke and her husband Ken of Belmont, MA, Margaret Rock of Brockton, MA, Edward Rock and his wife Jean of West Roxbury, MA, Linda Bowen and her husband Stephen of Franklin, MA, Thomas Rock of Quincy, MA; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 30th from 5-8 pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, in Sandwich, MA. A funeral mass in her memory will be held on January 31st at 11am at Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meeting House Rd, East Sandwich, MA. Burial will follow at Sandwich Town Cemetery, Route 130, Sandwich, MA.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Fall River.
