Elaine Marie Dunne

Elaine M. Dunne, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend of Forestdale, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday February 24, 2026. She was born on October 24, 1951, in Worcester, MA to Eugene E. and Jeanne R. Picard Duquette.

She graduated from North High School, Worcester, MA in 1970. Elaine took on many responsibilities with steadfast commitment, despite encountering difficulties, she remained strong, self-reliant, and appreciative.

Elaine found joy in gardening, and bingo, and treasured moments spent with her children, and grandchildren, as well as her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, James P. Dunne. Her two children, Shannon LaCasse (Jordan) and Jesse M. Dunne. Her grandchildren; Tinsely, Carter, Noella, and Aurora. Her sisters; Carole Cronin, Nancy Radcliffe (William), and Michelle Nagle. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; Eugene E. Duquette and Jeanne R. Picard Duquette, two of her sisters; Diane L. Thomas, and Anne M. Papagni.

A burial will be held on Friday May 1st at 2pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Family and friends are asked to gather at 1pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA to join in procession to the cemetery.
