Eleanor Mary Benjamin

She was born in New Bedford to parents Julianna and Jozef Fafara. She was the beloved wife of Albert E.

Benjamin for 58 years until his passing in 2001. Eleanor is survived by her daughter Carol Chrzanowski of

Sagamore Beach, her granddaughter Jennifer Hurley and her husband John of Sandwich, her grandson

Jeffrey Chrzanowski, his wife Brenda of Bridgewater, and her children Jennifer and Tyler. Eleanor also

leaves her nephew Wayne and his wife Patricia of Manchester, NH. She was predeceased by her sister,

Helen Bachand and her husband Rene of New Bedford. Her greatest joy were her five great-grandchildren,

Katie, Anna, Jack, Maria and Thomas Hurley, whom she shared an incredibly close bond with.

Those who loved her remember her most for her incredible generosity, terrific sense of humor and

addiction to Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee.

A Mass of Christan Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2012 at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road in Sandwich, Ma. followed by a private burial.
