Elizabeth "Beth" Dwyer

Born and raised in Needham, Beth was the daughter of the late Laurence and Elizabeth (Nightingale) Cranton. Beth graduated from Needham High School Class of 1979.

A naturally caring and thoughtful person, Beth was a Special Needs Teacher for the Sandwich School System for several years. In addition, she was also a Medical Administrator for several years. Beth was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sandwich Chapter 221.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting. She often made clothes and baby blankets for those who she loved and even those who she didn’t know at all. Above all else, Beth’s world revolved around her 3 children and her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Beth is survived by her children, Kaitlyn McCabe of Sandwich, Christopher McCabe of Hoboken, NJ, and Sean Dwyer of Forestdale. Also survived by a loving cousin who was like a sister, Wendy Hauser of MD, a brother Brian Cranton of VT and many close relatives and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8PM in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich. Beth’s Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Friday at 8AM followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited.
