Betty was a natural gardener with a love of all things that grow (most especially her flowers), an avid baker with a honed instinct in the kitchen, and a skilled knitter and crocheter. Always creating, she often made gifts of her work. She was most proud of her grandmother’s traditional English fruitcake, which she made and shared with her family and friends each Christmas.
Spending time with her family was the most important thing in her life; her most cherished occupation of all was being a grandmother. Her grandsons, who knew her as “Nanny,” were never without her unconditional love, and she never failed to express her pride in each of them and how grateful she was to see them grow up. She is the heart of many fond family memories and much laughter.
Betty’s family is extremely grateful for the compassionate care provided by the entire Continuum Hospice team; Candy and Gretchen made an incredible impression on Elizabeth.
A communicant of Corpus Christi Parish, she was a devout Roman Catholic, and passes now into the merciful hands of the Lord.
