Fred entered the United States Army after graduating Boston Trade High School in 1954. He was a life member of the Hyannis Elks B.P.O.E 1549, Misson Hill Legion Post 327 and Sandwich Post 188. After nearly 30 years with the U.S. Army, Fred retired in 1994 as an accomplished soldier. Fred is survived by his wife Ruth K (Doherty) Everett of East Sandwich, his Son, Brian Everett, Brian's fiancée Vanessa Hoffman, Brothers Joseph and Kenneth. Predeceased by sisters Betsy Fitzgerald, Susan Cosgrove, and Brother Paul Everett.
Visiting Hours for Fred will be held on Sunday from 2-6PM in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich. Funeral Mass on Monday at 12PM in Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meeting House Rd., East Sandwich. Burial with Full Military Honors to follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
