

KAISER, Frederick A., 91 of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts, and formerly of Richmond Hill, NY passed away on July 8, 2023 at Harbor Point in Centerville, Massachusetts. He was born to the late Frederick Louis and Magdelina Delight Kaiser (Bremmer) in Richmond Hill, NY on July 12, 1931.
Fred grew up in New York City where he graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School while studying the accordion at New York School of Music and often playing on the local radio station. He was employed by Liberty Aircraft in Farmingdale, NY, before he served in the U.S. Armed Forces as an aircraft mechanic from 1952 to 1954 in Korea. After an honorable discharge, Fred designed aircraft repair for Grumman Aircraft and the U.S. Navy at Corydon M. Johnson in Bethpage, NY where he met his wife. He worked for many years at Brookhaven National Laboratory designing equipment for cancer research and often spent time with his friends at Three Vets in St. James, NY, where he enjoyed his innate love for repairing VWs. Fred loved poking around Polk's Hobby in Manhattan, searching for his next model airplane engine, adding to his remarkable collection of almost 1,000 engines and hundreds of kits. Fred loved clams on the half shell and shucked like a pro. He relocated his family from Stony Brook, NY to Morrisville, VT where he achieved his passion to own a foreign import repair shop in Hyde Park, VT, retiring to Cape Cod.
He is survived by his wife Joan Kaiser (Edmonds) to whom shared 66 years of marriage, his daughters Barbara Kaiser Ianni and grandson Noah of Sanibel, FL and Rodie Kaiser of Hyannis, MA, son John Kaiser and wife, Judy, of Morrisville, VT and cousin Eric, his wife Roberta, and their son Max of Cotuit, MA.
A Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery will be taking place privately.
