Jonathan Edward Pierce

Jon was born in Pompton Plains, NJ, on December 27, 1963. He was the son of the late Harold and Joan (Galenski) Pierce. He was raised in Oakland, New Jersey where he graduated from Indian Hills High School. He moved to Cape Cod in 1987 with his wife Sheila. He was a talented finish carpenter and wood worker. He especially enjoyed creating custom staircase and mantles. He also spent time working as a commercial fisherman and loved his time at sea. He was knowledgeable about all things mechanical; he could fix anything. He also enjoyed antique cars, fishing, birdwatching and spending time with family and friends.

Besides his loving wife Sheila of 28 years, he also leaves his dear aunt Mary Galenski of Brooklyn, NY; his brother, Dennis Pierce and his wife Sandie of Gainesville VA, Christopher Pierce and his wife Diane of Verona, NJ; a sister Jeanne Pierce and her husband David Schafer of Townsend, MA. He was the “cool uncle” to Jason, Dennis, Mary Beth and Joseph Pierce and Katie and Jonathan Schafer.
