Lenore Gail Lass

Lenore Gail Lass (Newton) of Sandwich, MA passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 27th with her husband of 60 years by her side. She was 80 years old. Lenore was born in New Britain CT. She graduated from Middlesex Memorial Hospital nursing program as an RN in 1957. Her husband was a member of the US Air Force and she accompanied him throughout the US and worked in many places in the country.

She loved working as an RN and remained an avid learner throughout the years. She was an accomplished knitter and enjoyed going on walks by the canal with her husband and her dog Ruby. She loved her faith and her church, St. Peter’s on the canal.

She is predeceased by her parents, Eleanor and Orland Newton and her brother John Newton. She is survived by her husband Leo J. Lass of Sandwich, MA. Her two sons Jeffrey N. Lass and wife Jean of Wilton, NH and Brian J. Lass and his wife Jennifer of Osterville, MA and four grandchildren, Catherine, Nathan, Emma, and Lucie.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McCarthy Care Center, 73 Service Rd. E. Sandwich, MA 02537.
