Lino John Maiolini

Lino John Maiolini, 93, of Sagamore, died Friday, May 13, 2011. Born in Fairhaven, he was the son of the late John & Adele (Delco) Maiolini. He married Mary Sarafina Gianetto on Oct 10, 1939 in New Bedford. They moved back to Sagamore and built their life. He was a carpenter and a well known builder who loved hunting , taking care of his trees and spending time in the outdoors, especially in the mountains of New Hampshire. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Chapel in Sagamore and a member of the Sagamore Rifle club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter Lucille and her husband David Heft of Chelsea, VT, a son Paul and his wife Norma Maiolini of Sagamore and 3 grandchildren, John Maiolini, Laurie Maiolini and Roy Ellis, Jr.. Also surviving are three great grandchildren Caleb, Alexander and Cianna and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Henry F. and Medio Maiolini.

Visitation will be from 9 – 10:30 am Wednesday at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Rt. 6A, Sandwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd., East Sandwich, followed by burial in Sandwich Town Cemetery.
