Paul Joseph Durgin

Paul Joseph Durgin, 65, of Sandwich MA, passed away at home on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late George W. and Margaret F. (Hunter) Durgin. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Durgin and his wife Trish of Sharon, MA and his brother David Durgin of Stoughton, MA.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Kerry E. (Dawe) Durgin, his daughter Jill A. Durgin of Buzzards Bay, MA and his son Paul J. Durgin and his fiance Katelyn of Sagamore Beach, MA. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ariana and Paul J. of Palm Coast, FL. Paul is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law John and Susan Hardy of Dover, NH, Dennis and Jeanne Roberts of Dennis Port, MA and John Dawe of Marshfield, MA as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Paul grew up in Stoughton, MA and graduated from Stoughton High School in 1975. He also attended technical school in Boston, MA. Paul worked as project manager for many years at NRM Inc. in Canton, MA retiring in 2019.

Paul loved coaching his son in youth football and baseball and golfing with his brothers-in-law and friends. He adored spending time with his grandchildren and attending Cotuit Kettleers baseball games. He was an avid reader and always had a book in his hand. Paul could often be found at the Sandwich library or at the Sandwich boardwalk. He loved the beach and enjoyed traveling to Aruba, South Carolina and Naples, FL.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Corpus Christi Parish 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road East Sandwich, MA.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to Parents Supporting Parents, Inc. P.O. Box 992 Monument Beach, MA 02553-0992.
