Virginia (Jinny) Dorothy Parker Bridges was born 10/25/1928 and will live on for an eternity in the hearts of the friends and family she leaves behind. Jinny passed away peacefully with her children at her side on May 2nd. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter S. Bridges and loving mother to her children Pamela, Marty, Mark and his wife Sharon, and Matthew and his fiancé, Debra. She was the devoted daughter to the late Dorothy and Daniel Parker. She is the sister to John Parker and the late Robert Parker. She is also the grandmother to many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jinny lived for many years in Sandwich at Bye the Sea, Jarves St., and Shawme Heights. She is well known for her fun-loving personality, her deep sensitivity, her caring for others, and her wonderful sense of humor. Jinny loved nature, art and music of all kinds. She enjoyed raising her family on East Sandwich Beach, a beautiful and safe place for her children to enjoy the gifts of nature she so loved. She was a true believer in kids in sports keeping families together. She was intelligent and curious throughout her life and even recently enjoyed learning to use a new IPad given to her by her children so they could stay connected with her daily. She was creative and handcrafted many wonderful gifts to be treasured by her family for many years to come. Jinny enjoyed having fun with her friends and was known for naming the Shawme Heights Saturday Night get togethers with friends as the “Saturday Night Live Special.”
Jinny was devoted to her family and always available to lend advice and kind words to her loved ones that helped sustain and guide them through life’s joys and challenges. Jinny touched the hearts of all who knew her and will forever be remembered with love by her family and special friends including Dottie and Bob, Donna, Gladys, Ruth, Dr. Bowers and all of her friends at Shawme Heights.
