Alice R. Parker, 94, a longtime resident of Atlanta died on Thursday, the 27th of July 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life for 62 years, Edwin “Ed” Hancel Parker and son, Larry Russell. Alice retired from General Motors after 32 years of service. A True Southern Lady she had many friends who loved her dearly. Alice, a lover of good food always looked forward to the holidays, family get together’s and anytime that she could get everyone together around the table. She enjoyed traveling, was a member of “The Skylarks”, a travel club. Alice also immensely enjoyed shopping and was a consummate shopper. Surviving are her son and daughter, in law, Stephen and Jane Russell; grandchildren, Tammy Russell, Cathy Russell, Tony Russell, Leah Russell, Tim Russell; and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, the 30th of July at two o’clock at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel. Entombment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
