Crazy Andy and myself on our trip to visit Mike in N.C. Andy always wanted to go on the boat with me while working the rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. He said he missed his chance when we were battling the fire on the Deepwater Horizon. He wanted to watch me operate a large vessel with one hand, lol Well, that was the time he could have watched and helped my crew with the water cannons. Andy was not only someone I respected, but he was a real friend. and we're both half crazy. We stopped to get gas in S.C. Andy pumped gas and I went into the store as a blind person, a lady helped me get water, pay for it, and guided me back to the car, I was supposed to drive off. Andy said, you couldn't pull it off could you, I said, nope, she was too nice, we got to laughing so hard we were both crying.  I miss that nut. When I found out he passed, I wasn't going to miss seeing him off, the wife and I were suppose to make a trip up to Mikes again, and stop and introduce Andy to my wife from the Philippines, she never met him, but she knew him from our crazy emails. He suggested we take a cruse from New Orleans, I said I don't cruse, I've been cruising the seas for 45 years, and I'd want to be on the bridge or the engine room, where they won't allow me...........I'm gonna miss him...........Captain Crip 

Oh No.....Andy......I am so sorry......You were a helluva nice guy and good friend to many.....I will miss you.....God be with you, your family and friends....

Andy was such a kind and loving soul.  I can honestly say that without his help I probably wouldn’t have gotten my Pilots License.  He, Bill and I have been on numerous dive trips together and he is my only certified Divemaster.  I miss him so much as I write this and remember all the fantastic times we spent in Cozumel, Roatan, and Blackbeard trips.  My heartfelt condolences go out to Angela and the entire family.  I was blessed that he was a part of my life.  I will always have great memories of the fun times so many had when Andy was part of the crowd.  You are missed by so very many my friend.  Rest in peace now and know you have left this world a better place for having been a part of it.

Andy was a terrific friend ever since our teen years in Atlanta.  He was a hard worker and always willing to help out in any way he could.   He will be greatly missed by his loving family and his large number of longtime friends.  Rest In Peace, Andy.   Linda and I are sorry to have to miss the service on Fri. because of a already planned trip.   May God grant peace and comfort to his loving family.

Andy was a special person. Above and beyond the respect I hold for him as parent, war veteran, handyman, and dirty humorist, he was part of the solid foundation from which my friend derives his strength of character and trueness of heart. 
Andy always opened his heart,mind,and home to Cator’s ‘wild’, (and we are wild) friends. His genuine interest and enthusiastic support was always appreciated by me and our closest friends. 
I remember many occasions of Andy grinning with pride when celebrating Cator and his accomplishments. Even sleeping through a party happening on top of him proved he was the most supportive dad! His active participation in all of our lives will be missed but never forgotten. Love you Andy, rest in peace.

Andy was always one of the "taco night guys" monthly-ish on The Station Break.  I took this picture and then left the men to enjoy their night.  The first time I met Andy he had his "hair hat" on so I was surprised next time I saw him!

My heart aches in hearing of the death of my Cousin Andy!  As kids we called him Bubba and he was someone I looked up to as I didn't have an older brother. I remember many fun times back then.  

I'm so happy to have seen him on my last trip to Atlanta. His wife, Angela, his son Cater and his 2 stepdaughters and families and friends are in my thoughts and prayers!

My heart and my head are processing this news.  I know the immense heartache and grief you are feeling.   Bart and I always enjoyed you and Andy so much when we were active at UYC.  Andy was so good to reach out to  Bart with phone calls even when Bart's health was declining.  I have so many good memories especially over the 4th of July with you both.  Please know I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers at this time.

Maxine and I are so sorry to hear about Andy.

He reached out to us at University Yacht Club and made us feel so welcome.  Any time you saw him you walked away feeling better  than when you walked up.

Andy was a  Southern Gentleman and he will be missed.
