Anita Wall Wadsworth passed away December 2, 2022.
She lived her life in her beloved Atlanta, the middle child of Jo and Sharpe Wall, younger brother, Sharpe David Wall, Jr, and pre-deceased by older sister, Ninetta Price. She attended Northside High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a minor in acting at FSU. There, she earned the Torchbearers Honor, member KAT Sorority, and was Miss Gymkana. After Graduating, she worked for Rich’s in the advertising department.
In 1956, she was Homecoming Queen for Georgia Tech, where she chose the Varsity as her restaurant of choice. While Sweetheart of SAE at Emory, she met her husband, Dr. Gerald Edward Wadsworth.
Anita served on the Board of Alliance Children’s Theatre. She was active with the Piedmont Hospital Woman’s Auxiliary. In support of her children’s activities, she loved and supported The Atlanta Ballet.
Anita was pre-deceased by her husband, Dr. Gerald Edward Wadsworth in 1980. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Wadsworth, and Grandson, Alex Wadsworth, and her son, Gerald Edward Wadsworth, Jr.
