
Born Nov. 26, 1927 in Savannah Georgia, the son of immigrant parents from Eastern Europe and the youngest of three children, Arnold received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and was a life-long supporter. An Eagle Scout and a decades long adult volunteer and leader in Boy Scouts, Arnold was awarded the Silver Beaver distinguished service award. He was a member of The Temple and also served on the Cherokee County Grand Jury as the foreman for many years. Arnold was self-employed as a manufacturer’s representative most of his life and lived his adult life in Atlanta and Woodstock, GA. Arnold is pre-deceased by his loving wife, Nancy Lois Nathan Goldberg, originally of Davis Island, Tampa, Florida and is survived by his three sons: Eric Goldberg of Raleigh, NC and his wife Debra Goldberg, Alan Goldberg of Point Clear, AL, and Michael Goldberg of Tybee Island, GA and his wife Debra Goldberg as well as by seven grandchildren: Anna Rachel Spitzer and Gretchen Dunlap, Lexie Goldberg, Avi Goldberg, Sharon Rose Goldtzvik, Micah Goldberg Crown and Asa Goldberg as well as five great-grandchildren: Anna Grace and Noah Spitzer, Skyler Kade Goldberg, and Annabelle and Nathan Dunlap. Funeral services will take place graveside at Arlington Memorial Park on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 3 o’clock with Rabbi David Spinrad officiating.
