I got to know Katy well during what turned out to be the last few years of her life. She will always hold a special place in my heart. She was a beautiful girl with a great heart.  I randomly thought about her on a business trip. I can't stop picturing her smile.

So sorry to hear about Katy. I remember how she loved playing with the other children at the  pool when she was little.

Katy was one of the sweetest, most caring people I've ever met. I was really lucky to be friends with her. I still can't believe that she's gone, and I give my condolences to her family and other friends.

I heard once somewhere that we are each, in essence, the culmination of our five closest friends. I am so honored that you are one of the people who makes up who I am today. We've talked about how everything happens for a reason, and when we met that day in Soc101, I felt that. I mean, something in me turned me around in my seat and made me stick out my hand and say "Hi! I'm Lindsay! Nice to meet you!" Hahaha, who does that? I feel your energy now, just like I did that day. We became fast friends and had sooo much in common, it was crazy! I wouldn't trade a moment of the time we wasted together haha, watching Korean soap operas and Family Guy, talking about things that we knew didn't matter. Daydreaming, naming the things we loved and the thousand ways we loved them. Those memories are some of my favorites! :) I can't believe how I was blessed to spend them with you!, wonderful girl!!! You are a part of my life for a reason. You have made my life better. I hope and pray that I brought you some joy too, and I will continue to carry you with me and do my best to make you happy. I feel your absence as a deep and painful void, but I know that this will pass, and that you are walking with me, too. I feel so lucky to have known you... Your passing has taught me to work so much harder. I won't let days go by without telling people I love them and what they mean to me. You mean so much to me Katy, my friend. Her smile could light up a whole room. I have man very fond memories with her and I wished I could have spent more time with her. She has brought so much joy to my life I will miss her so much. You do not know me but I knew your precious daughter Katy.  She went to Faith Academy with my son Chase Jones who passed away February 6, 2010 at the age of 21 also.  So from one Mother/Parent to another I unfortunately have walked in your shoes with the loss of our precious child.  May Katy R.I.P with my sweet Chase up in Heaven where they have no more struggles and no more pain, only peace, love, comfort and they are in paradise now with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Katy. Thank you for sharing the past 21 years of your life with me. You have brought great joy and happiness to my life. I am so proud of the person you have become. You are the most loving, caring person I know. You always had time for people or animals in need. When you walked into a room it illuminated with your glow. You have brought light to so many people. Your family and friend are better people because of you. They say ones life is judged based on the number of people you touched, the number of Family and Friends you have. I would say your life has been a Great Success.
 
In the short 21 years you have lived, you have lived a lifetime of experiences. You have loved, traveled, and pushed life to its fullest. I believe God takes us when we have achieved our purpose on the world. I believe you have, and was ready for the next stage of your path. You are now in a beautiful place, Safe and Secure. You are with your Grandparents, your aunt Cassie and Cousin Robby. I am sure you will enhance their existence. Mom, try to keep Katy and Cassie from fighting too much. They have very similar, strong personalities and will continue to try to prove they are each right.
 
In this world Katy knew she was loved and cherished. She had parents that were always there for her with love and guidance. She had a big brother that protected her and helped her in all aspects of life. She had a big sister that she adored and always looked up to, with good reason. She had a little sister who in turned adored and looked up to her, again with good reason. She had a big loving family and many friends that shared wonderful times with her. All of us helped Katy experience all the Happiness that was in her life. We all need to remember that Katy had a Wonderful Life.
 
My last conversation with Katy was on the phone in my car. Stephanie and Sophia were also there. After Katy talked to Sophia for 30 minutes we put her on speaker. The call ended with a great exchange of "I Love You's". Stephanie said "There is a lot of Love Going Around". That sums up Katy's life. A Lot of Love.
 
In the past 12 months our Family has experienced two amazing events. The marriages of Stephanie to a wonderful man in Darin, and Jerry to a wonderful woman in Christy. The closeness of our Family is demonstrated by all the love in this room. The future looks bright!! I see many happy moments to come. Maybe Katy will be an aunt at some point. Katy will be looking over us and enjoying these times with us. Monday night we went bowling as a family. Other than the lack of skill demonstrated by all, we had a great time. A Lot of Big Laughter. I believe Katy was there with us for every laugh.
 
Katy will be looking over us, helping guide our way through this world. Talk to her, keep her alive in you heart.
 
Our Lord please accept Katy into your arms, and take care of My Little Girl.
