Claire Frances Brown, 87 of Sandy Springs, Georgia died June 7, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Hubert J. “Hubie” Brown; loving mother of Molly Smith (Bob), Virginia Foster, Julie Brown who preceded her in death, and Brendan Brown (Kate). Cherished grandmother of Grace Foster, Sarah Smith, Tim Foster and Sydney Brown. Dear sister of Philip Manning (deceased), Michael Manning, Diane Aronson (Bruce), Susan Barrett (Scott), Maureen Manning, Peter Manning (Becky) and Ellen Atwell (John). Devoted aunt to several nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces.
Claire was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 10, 1937, to Phil and Mary Manning, and spent her childhood in Malverne, NY. She was a graduate of Niagara University, class of 1959 with a BS in Nursing. She worked as an Obstetric and Recovery Room nurse for several years in New Jersey and North Carolina. Claire sang in the choir for many years at Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church and was a longtime volunteer in her church and other organizations in the Atlanta area.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Trinity Life at Home for the professional and loving care they provided Claire.
