Dana Marie Goepper Blackwell, 87, a native Atlantan, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, the 29th of September, 2013. Dana was the daughter of the late Manie and Dan Goepper of Atlanta. She joins her beloved parents in Heaven along with her sisters: Annabell Cheek, Beatrice (Kitty) Thompson and Angela Hale and her husband Robert Terry Blackwell Sr., who preceded her in death in 1967, and a grandson, Matthew Barr. Dana was a member of Holy Family Church, Marietta until her move into St. George Village in Roswell. She is survived by her children, whom she referred to as her greatest assets: Robert Terry Blackwell, Jr. (Jeanine), Linda Mix, Gregory Blackwell (Cheryl), Carol Barr (David), Alison Hellwege (Lonnie), Margaret Crook (Dale) and Anne Leatherbarrow (Dean). Her life was enriched by 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. This Saturday, October 5th there will a visitation at H. M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, Sandy Springs between 1-2 PM. A committal service, celebrating her life, will be held at Arlington Memorial Park at 2:30 PM, 210 Mt. Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs.
