David Wynn Patterson, Sr. 85 of Dunwoody passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Originally from Pittsburg, PA he moved to Atlanta in 1958. Even though his family roots were established in Pennsylvania he thought of himself as true southerner. Dave was a devoted husband and loving father and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was the founder of designer carpets at Atlanta decorative arts center in 1975 and considered himself to be the luckiest man in the world to have at one time all 4 children working with him. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Memorial services celebrating Dave’s life will be conducted on Friday, the 15th of July at eleven o’clock at Arlington Chapel. Following the service friends are cordially invited to a visitation and reception with the family at H. M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
