Don Cook, 87, of Sandy Springs, died October 25, 2013. Mr. Cook owned and operated several Ford automobile and tractor dealerships around the Atlanta area. During his career he served as president of the National Ford Dealer Council. He served as a Merchant Marine during World War II and was an active member of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church. Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeannette Cook; son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Nancy Cook; daughter and son-in-law, Deannie and Mario de la Guardia; and grandchildren, Steven and Elizabeth Cook, Michael and Michelle de la Guardia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607-3000. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 2 o’clock at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church with Dr. Ken Ray officiating. Entombment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
