I went to Raytown South High School with  Doug. We were in theater together and he was the star of the play my senior year 1977 (Woody Allen’s Don’t Drink The Water) I remember him being SO hilarious. He was so funny, sweet and fun to be around. I am beyond sad he has left this earth so soon.  I wish only good memories of this talented and kind man.  



Doug came into my life when he was 13 years old because our parents , My mom ( Eleanor) and his dad ( Jim) got married.  Doug had an infectious laugh, and  a sense of humor like his dads.  Doug was a quiet guy until you breached a topic that he was passionate about!  He loved horse racing and could tell you anything you needed, or wanted to know about the Kentucky Derby winners.  Doug will be missed dearly by those that loved him and his favorite step mom, ( and only)  - Eleanor Poindexter was waiting at the gates of heaven to welcome him.  She loved to talk and so did Doug!  Those two had a very special bond and now it will be Eternal !  Love and miss you!  Sherri
