With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Franklin Delano Jackson, who departed this life on March 18, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on September 17, 1934, in Bowden, Georgia, Frank was one of 15 siblings, including his surviving twin sister, Anne Cooper. Raised in a large and loving family, Frank grew up on a farm during The Great Depression, without electricity or a family car, where he learned the values of hard work, resilience, and generosity—principles that shaped the man he became.
Frank attended Fulton High School before launching a successful career in the automobile industry. He began his career with a service station business in Lakewood Heights, GA while selling cars on the side. In 1972, he opened his first Lincoln Mercury car dealership, later expanding to become a dealer for Toyota, Peugeot, Fiat, Mitsubishi, and Ford. His dedication to his business, his employees, his customers, and commitment to excellence made him a well-respected legend in the industry.
Beyond his professional success, Frank was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ramona, and his four children: Brad Jackson (Lisa), Karen Jackson, Michael Jackson (Laura), and Barry Jackson (Beth). He was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to 9 great-grandchildren. Frank passed on his values of hard work and perseverance to his children and grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of determination and integrity.
Franklin’s life was marked by his unwavering love for his family, his kindness, and his ability to bring people together. His philanthropy and blessings were extended to too many charities and people to list. He was beyond generous. He will be remembered for his quick wit, generosity, and the deep impact he made on those around him.
Visitation for Frank will be held on March 22, 2025, from 12:00pm-1:30pm at H.M. Patterson & Son-Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. A funeral service will take place immediately after visitation with a graveside service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to a charity of choice.
Franklin’s legacy of hard work, integrity, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
