Gail Cheryl Hammerman, 78, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024. She was born July 8,1946 in Atlanta, Georgia to Jerry Kaufman and Doris Kaufman. Gail married the love of her life, Martin Hammerman and was married for over 50 years. She is survived by her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jerry Henderson; son, Brian Hammerman; three grandchildren, Ariel, Gabriel, Levi; three siblings, Jay Kaufman, Joan Kaufman, Avy Kaufman; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Alvin Plaskowitz; numerous nephews, and extended family. Gail valued family and one of her giftings was writing encouraging notes and sending cards for birthdays and special occasions. Gail’s outgoing personality drew in others, and she started a conversation with whoever she met. Planning trips was one of Gail’s enjoyments and she collected brochures wherever she traveled. Gails other hobbies were collecting magnets, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with her family who was her heart. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, and grandmother. Her thoughtfulness and intentionality to others will be remembered. Gail will be missed and may her memory be a blessing. Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 10 o’clock with Rabbi Laurence Rosenthal officiating at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
