John William “Bill” Lewis, Sr., 82, of Atlanta, died September 18, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Smith Lewis; son, John William Lewis, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Robyn Lewis; grandchildren, John William “Jake” Lewis, III, Tessa Renee Lewis; and brother, Walter Lewis. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, 2715 Peachtree Rd, NE, Atlanta, GA 30305. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 2 o’clock at Patterson’s Arlington Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 o’clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
