Janette was a feisty little woman with the heart of a lion and, self-described in her later years, as a “tough old broad”. Janette loved to dance. From an early age taking dance lessons to opening her own dance school, The Vinings School of Dance, teaching hundreds of young ladies ballet, tap, and jazz; she was blessed throughout her life with the opportunity to share her passion with others. It was her love of dance that took her to her future husband Jon’s fraternity, to teach the boys to dance, where their love story began on the dance floor.
Janette liked fast cars and shared a love for old wooden boats with her husband Jon. She enjoyed weekends on the lake with Jon, J.P. and Julie. Thanksgiving and Christmas were very important to her to spend time with friends and family, often travelling to Knoxville, TN for Thanksgiving to catch up with her brother James and his wife Helen, and her nieces and their families; and she loved the many vacations to Sanibel Island with her extended family from Knoxville as well.
Over the years Janette was a loving mother not only to J.P. and Julie but also to many beagles and cats. Her heart was full of love and compassion and in her later years she and her husband Jon cared for many cats who found their way to their back door.
Janette H Bell will be sorely missed by those who loved her so much on this earth; she has been welcomed into the light of God and been reunited with those she loved so much who have gone to be with God before her.
