Jeffrey Neal Ferchau, of Smyrna, GA, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Temple and Marjorie Ferchau (née Simon), and his brother, Thomas Ferchau. He is survived by his sister, Carol Boyack of Venice, Florida; his daughter, Lauren Levinger (Alex); and his grandson, James.
Born in Peoria, Illinois and raised in the Cleveland, Ohio area, Jeff excelled as a basketball player at Bay Village High School, earning a place in the school's Hall of Fame. He later graduated from the University of Georgia, where he developed a deep passion for the Bulldogs. A devoted sports fan, Jeff could strike up a conversation about any game, though his heart remained with his beloved Dawgs and the Atlanta Braves.
Jeff’s love for sports, his wit, warm personality, and his ability to connect with others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at H.M. Patterson and Son - Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road NE, Sandy Springs, Georgia 30328.
