Jonathan Alexander (Alex) Story

Jonathan Alexander “Alex” Story, 20, of Atlanta, GA passed away August 30, 2011. Alex was a student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a 2010 graduate of Avon Old Farms School in Avon, Connecticut where he competed in soccer, wrestling and track and field. Alex was an avid skier and rock climber, who enjoyed writing his own songs to play on guitar, and was proud of having learned to surf this past summer. Alex loved to cook, travel and recently spent six weeks backpacking in Western Europe with his brother and sister. His smile, tenacity and sense of adventure will be sorely missed by all.

Alex is survived by his parents, Thomas Edgar Story III and Janice Kulynych Story, his brother, Thomas Edgar Story IV, his sister, Christina Elizabeth Story, his grandfather Petro Kulynych, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Alex Story Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank, account number 6045530372, which in turn will be contributed to an anti-drug education program in memory of Alex.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2011 at St. Martin In the Fields Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
