Julius Eross, 84 of Sandy Springs, died July 25, 2019. Mr. Eross was born in Mezősas, Hungary on May 22, 1935 and was the son of the late Itsvan and Irene Eross. He came to the United States with one of his brothers after the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and lived in New Rochelle, New York. Julius enjoyed a successful career in accounting with Pan American World Airways, continuing with Delta Airlines after they acquired Pan Am until his retirement in 2000. His career with the airlines allowed him with his wife and family to travel to many cities throughout the US and countries around the world. Julius Eross was a bowler for many years, a "Master of Chess" his whole life and loved playing cards with his wife and friends. He enjoyed swimming at Hudson Park Beach in New Rochelle, NY, he loved the water, the sun and the serenity. Unfortunately, he suffered from Parkinson’s disease for the past 25 years yet he lived his life the best he could never letting the disease prohibit him from involving himself with the things he valued most in life. Even with his illness, Julius tended to his garden of beautiful plants and delicious vegetables. Mr. Eross was a philosophical man of few words though always knew how to tell rich stories of his life. “Papi”, as his family referred to him, was a generous, kind and patient man - a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Aurora Eross; daughters, Elizabeth Eross DeRosa (Michael), Sandra Eross Gurley (Todd); grandchildren, Christina DeRosa, Alex DeRosa, Liam Gurley, Cassidy Gurley; and brother, Ference Eross (Juditka). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Parkinson’s Foundation. The Memorial Mass will be Friday, August 9, 2019 - 11am at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 7171 Glenridge Dr., Sandy Springs, GA 30328. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation, https://secure3.convio.net/prkorg/site/SPageNavigator/2017_donate_form_2.html?tab=tribute&_ga=2.7145969.292262211.1565056680-1239271445.1565056680
